Texas School of Bartenders is a privately owned trade school licensed by the Texas Workforce Commission - Proprietary Schools Division to educate and train students in the field of Bartending and Mixology. Founded in August of 1988, TSOB has been a leader in the training industry since it's inception. TSOB has three locations: Austin, Houston, and San Antonio.

It is the goal of the Texas School of Bartenders to constantly update and improve the Bartending and Mixology program, in an effort to keep up with the trends of the bartending industry. By doing this, graduates have the confidence as well as the proper skills and training to become gainfully employed as professional bartenders.

<B>Our Experience</B>

TSOB is owned and operated by professional bartenders. This is imperative to give students the education and training needed to work as professional bartenders. Our personnel has more combined experience than any other schools in central Texas, over 35 years in the bar and restaurant field, including over 17 years management experience. TSOB is the oldest and most established school in Austin and has the most resources to procure job openings for its graduates.

<B>The Course</B>
<BR>
<BR>
The Bartending and Mixology program is made up of a two week, 40 hour course. Convenient day or evening classes are offered in Austin, Houston, or San Antonio. Emphasis is placed on drink recipes, product knowledge, customer service, speed, and accuracy. Students will learn how to take drink orders, make the drinks, serve the drinks, and complete the necessary cash transactions. After completing this course, students will possess a knowledge of bartending, including etiquette, tips, and pointers. All lessons are taught behind an ACTUAL BAR! Upon completion of the course, each student will receive a Certificate of Completion in Mixology and TABC certification, and will be qualified for immediate employment as a professional bartender.

<B>The Job Placement Assistance Program</B>

All TSOB graduates are immediately eligible for the nationwide job placement assistance program. Being part of a nationwide alliance of bartending schools provides TSOB graduates with the flexibility of utilizing job placement services in over 50 cities. Locally, graduates sit down with the Job Placement Director to discuss the different employment opportunities available. The JP Director will assist each and every graduate with all aspects of obtaining employment. Since the course is equivalent to several months of on the job experience, the employment rate for TSOB has been over 90% each year since it's opening.

Enrollment at TSOB schools is done on an individual basis. TSOB requires a personal interview with each prospective student prior to enrollment. This is an excellent opportunity for a prospective student to learn all about bartending and to make educated decisions concerning enrollment.
